Description campsite

The campsite is situated north of Bergen op Zoom in a woody area about 5.5 ha. large. It is a slightly broken terrain and has a big variety of vegetation. The "Nieuwe Zandstraat" runs through it. The name stands for a sandy road wich for many years formed the citylimit between Bergen op Zoom and the former village Halsteren. Nowadays Halsteren is part of the city of Bergen op Zoom. There is mainly local traffic on this road.

Buitenlust is owned by "Het Brabants Landschap" and a beautiful scenery. Especially for several kinds of birds which lives here the area is of vital interest. One comes across: the woodcock, golden oriole, nightingale, grey flycatcher, redstart and blacktipped redstart woodwatcher, treeceeper, goldcrest, various tits, woodpeckers, the long eared owl and the little owl and many more different kinds of birds. In short a magnificent piece of nature. Also therefore from Easter on and the following weekends limited quitly camping is possible (due to the breadingseason of the birds). From the middle of may till the end of october the campsite is fully available for camping. Up too half november again limited.
